This year like last year we are offering our bulls at very reasonable prices off the farm only.
In the past we have purchased fancy overly conditioned bulls only to be disappointed later with the performance of these yearlings. We have decided we want to provide better working bulls to our customers by feeding our bulls home grown rations. We do not feed special bull rations & we do not feed our bulls like a feedlot.
We also are going more to 2 year old bulls because they have done most of their growing and will breed a lot more cows and don’t lose much condition. You also do not have to baby them like a yearling. Our 2 year olds have not wasted another year by sleeping with the boys, they have been grown out more and are conditioned to breed more cows.
These two year olds are the better yearling left overs. Yes left overs but the better ones because we price the better yearlings higher & the cattle men selects the cheaper bull because times are tough and he may only have ten heifers to breed. Therefore the bigger yearling bulls make for better herdsires for the big cows as two year olds.
This year we are selling 20 masculine two year olds and 30 yearlings. A lot of these bulls are sired by our herdsires, Stallion 19J and Gold 55H, whom are gone but we still A.I. to them. We also have other herdsires - Bando, Six Mile Solid, Badlands Mr Beef, Rambler, Whitestone Widespread, Mono 4x, Heaven-Bust, Bust'n, etc,. We also use A.I. extensively and supply the best genetics at reasonable prices.
The bulls will be semen tested in April and delivery can be arranged at your convenience.
I would also like to thank all our past bull and heifer buyers. Also a thank you to Quill Lake colony for purchasing two 2 year old bulls which bred 120 cows for them. The bulls are looking good and they just love those Stallion calves. A fancy Hollywood yearling they purchased at a different source only bred 13 cows. Without a doubt these two year olds are better bulls than yearlings.
